The benchmark study will explore best practices in the area of cleaning/change over, set-up, and compliance in order to improve key aspects in these highly resource, non-value added, time consuming activities. In today's competitive business environment, change over, set-up, and cleaning are often overlooked. These activities consume 30-50% of resources - both direct labor and equipment.

The benchmark will focus on how we schedule / campaign due to lengthier change over, what approach companies are taking to improve such as: cleaning validation, cleaning tools (CIP, COP) used, detergent effectiveness, structure, and various metrics to measure the performance in the area of cleaning efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
